2019 Mud Hens Scout Night

March in the Scout Parade, enjoy watching a Toledo Mud Hens baseball game, and then camp out on the field afterwards!

When:  Saturday, June 8th, 2019  
Time : This is a double header, first game is at 5:05PM

Special activities include:

  • Pregame 'Scout Parade' around the field - arrive at 4 PM to participate
  • Meet Mud Hens mascots Muddy and Muddonna 
  • Watch a spectacular postgame firework show
  • 'Scouts Run the Bases' after the game 
  • Enjoy a family-friendly movie on the giant video board 
  • Camp out on the field
  • Breakfast the next morning (optional)
  • Receive a 'Mud Hens Scout Experience' patch (if sleeping over)
Pricing is as follows:
  • Game Ticket - $14
  • Sleepover - $9
  • Snack Pack for during the game [Optional] - $6
    • Hot dog, bag of chips, and pop
  • Scout Breakfast - $7 [optional, and from what I have heard, perhaps not as good as the option of your favorite fast food place on the way out of Toledo :-) ]
    • Breakfast sandwich, fruit cup, juice and coffee
  • Scout Night Pillowcase [Optional] - $6

  • Number of scouts that will attend both the game and overnight
  • Number of family/friends that will attend both the game and overnight
  • Number of game-only tickets requested
  • Number of any of the Optional items listed above (snack pack, breakfast, pillowcase)
Payment can be made at pack meetings or sent through school marked Pack 760.  All checks should be addressed to Pack 760.  Making a payment does not register you; you also must email me directly.  We will establish a PayPal option at a later time.  I will also establish a registration deadline in the near future but please do register early so we can place an accurate hold with the Mud Hens.

Please route all requests through me and please do not purchase directly from the Mud Hens, or you may be seated apart from our Pack.  I have attached a handbook that provides additional important information; please read it if you plan to attend.


Cub Scout and Webelos Resident Camp 2019 Info

Webelos ONLY
Resident Camp at Camp Munhacke Wednesday July 31st - Saturday August 3rd 2019. (Going into 4th or 5th Grade)

Webelos camp dates are Session #1 Wednesday 07-31-2019 to Saturday 08-03-2019. Camp takes place at Camp Munhacke, 120 acres of land north of Chelsea in the Pinckney Recreation Area. It is on the shores of Bruin Lake. Tents, cots, all your meals and all activities are included. Activities include: swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, BB-guns, archery, bonfires, woodworking, ultimate Frisbee, and many other activities. Fees:
  • Youth Camping Fee – before May 14th = $155  
  • Leader Camping Fee = $155
  • Unregistered Adult Camping Fee  = $170
  • If your not already a registered adult with the BSA, we've included an extra application fee of $15
  • After May 14th, all scout fees for camping go up $8.
  • * A $5 paypal fee was included to cover the surcharge.

Forms
Youth are required to submit:
  1. BSA Annual Health Form A&B (for youth and adults) 
    Fill this out, attach a copy of your health insurance card and bring it to camp.

Adults attending camp will be required to complete and/or submit the following items:

  1. Youth Protection Training (YPT)
    It is a 20 minute online course. Very easy and very good.
     It is now required for all adults attending camp. Even if you are only attending for part of a day.

    At the end of the course, print out the certificate of completion and attach it to your Adult application. This is due when you submit your final payment to the Pack.
    Note: Current Leaders whose YPT is up-to-date do not have complete the training. YPT must be renewed every 2 years.

  2. Adult Application 
    Adults, If you are not registered with BSA, you will need to fill out an Adult application (524-501.pdf). You must fill out page 4 and 5 completely. This includes the signature page and all of the right hand column (background, addresses and references) on the app page. Return it, along with proof that you have taken Youth Protection Training (see above). Return these items with your final camp payment (payable to Pack 760) at the May Pack Meeting.
    Note: Current registered Leaders do not have complete the application.

    Some notes regarding the application:
    We are a Pack 
    Our unit # is: 760 
    Expire date can be 12/31/21. 
    You can leave the unit position and position title fields (at bottom) blank. 
    Make sure that you sign both pages 4 and 5.
    This form must be signed by the Pack Charter Organization rep. So you can not bring it to camp. It must be submitted with proof of YPT at the time of your camp payment.

  3. BSA Annual Health Form A&B (for youth and adults) 
    Fill this out, attach a copy of your health insurance card and bring it to camp.

  4. MI Registry Clearance Form DHS 1929 (Linked below on this page Mich-DHS-1929.dot) 
    orm to the DHS office. 
  5. This form must be completed and submitted (along with a copy of a picture ID) to the Michigan Department of Human Services office. They will process the request and send the clearance letter back to you. You will then need to make a copy of the letter and bring that copy with you to camp. You must fill the form out for all adults who will be attending with your scout. If you are not sure yet which parent is going, or you are sharing the duties, fill out a form out for each of you.

    Some instructions for the form. 
    • Fill in Section 1 with your information.
    • Fill in section 2 with your information and check the box labeled ‘Individual’ (you are requesting this clearance for yourself).
    • In section 2, name of employer…, Name of CPS… and Title fields can be left blank.
    • Fill in page 2 with the address you want the clearance letter(s) mailed to. Note: Individual requests will only be mailed to the address on the picture ID provided.
    • Attach a copy of your picture ID to the form.
    • Take the form to the DHS office. 
    • When you receive the letter back from DHS, make a copy of the letter keeping the original at home. 
    • Bring copy with you to camp for each adult.
    • (This is a 10 day process for them to turn around the request so do not wait.)
